I mean why should someone revisit a game with gameplay they have bad first impressions with a smartass dev to boot. It being buried amoung thousand of shovelware games doesnt help either. Come on be logical. I think im one of the few that did but only out of chance since i was bored and looked through my comment history. Having said that, i appreciate the lower difficulty. You can have the harder version for a hard mode, people wouldnt mind that. However, for some reason you did nto changed to the hardest part of the game, the boss which i have problems with. See the pic, boss shoots thousand of projectiles at me, spikethings jump around, anything gives me a hitstun essentially stunlocking me to death. If this is still intended then atleast let them restart stage 2, not the whole game. Go try defend this somehow.
I guess thats it. The other reason you dont get support is that action h-games with female protagonists fighting against plants, and stuff is just so overdone. Even your superb spirte art which I admire, won't help enough.

Unfortunately, there are a few things that tell me youâve been developing in a vacuum for too long. Firstly is the difficulty, if this is supposed to be a quick vertical slice of your game in order to secure funding like you posted in your extras, then it needs to be a vertical slice that can widely be completed. Otherwise people are going to get an even smaller impression of your game and move on. Iâve been following your Youtube for a while since itâs the only social I share with you but I looked through your Tumblr and watched your posts, especially concerning past products being axed for lack of interest. With your artwork I donât think interest in the game is the issue. You have to get out with your games in as many places as you can. Not just for customers, but so you can collect data on whatâs working and what isnât.
Which brings me to the next point, your art is fantastic, and the overall game design works incredibly well with the artwork. But the level design needs work, and thatâs okay! EVERYONE sucks at making levels. Even people who have been making levels for years need to tweak them as time and more information is collected. This is a perfect time to do so, youâve gone so far as to remove one of the enemies to make 1-3 a bit easier. However, it seems since that tweak, youâre coming off as a bit condescending and quite a bit dismissive to others complaining about 1-3. This is a killer for indies. Itâs hard to see people not immediately love everything about our games, but you will not get to see those babies live long enough to be loved if you are not seeking every piece of data your customers are willing to share with you about their experiences. Good and Bad, you have to be willing to at least acknowledge the criticism, watch the trends and ask yourself questions about what is causing them to have these negative experiences. Please donât take anything I said as a personal attack, I sincerely hope to see more of your work in the future.
The gameplay is exceptionally poor, however instead of taking the feedback in earnest, the developer seems more interested in convincing people that the reason they aren't having fun is because of their lack of skills, going so far as to post janky gameplay proving that it's in fact not a problem with the game because it's not unbeatable. Their responses to the feedback are also very defensive and dismissive.
Maybe the hentai art is great. But the game is bad, and since the developer is making it abundantly clearly that they're not ready to entertain that possibility, I don't see this ever improving.
It's your game, you know how everything works and i bet you have some experience playing these retro sidescrollers. But try to see it from a new player's perspective. The difficulty itself isn't even the problem, the problem is to have it this early in the game. I bet most of them havent gotten used to the controls yet. Your video tries to be a gotcha but even there, u the dev is struggling. You even reset the stage because you didnt have a good start lol.
People want easy stuffs on this days
I enjoy difficult games, but this is some ds2 level of bullshit.

The art is great but it's far too difficult. I couldn't be bothered to get past stage one, which is a shame because i'm sure i'd enjoy it otherwise.

The second stage (?) starts off way more intense than I'd like. Why two jumping enemies on top of a plant you have to jump in order to shoot at?
